Summer Fiesta: Our Favorite Margarita Recipe
This summer, we planned an intimate party for Clyde to celebrate his first birthday. If we're being honest, this party was more for us than for Clyde! We did invite a handful of younger friends, but it was a celebration of survival for all the adults - the first year is hard!
We're from Texas, so Mexican food and margaritas are our love language. We went all out with the uno theme. From the custom invitations we found on Etsy to desert-inspired desserts! We even had custom tattoos made! The more color the better.
I planted succulents in recycled cans and sent these home as guest favors. We served brisket queso and chips! And, Bryan perfected his margarita recipe which included hand squeezing 30 lbs of limes. If you're hosting a summer party, these margaritas will keep people drinking all day!
Fill bar shaker with ice. Add ingredients, shake thoroughly. Strain into 2 salt rimmed glasses. Serves 2, double or triple for larger servings.
Clyde enjoyed his first cake! But, as expected, 30 people singing happy birthday was a little overwhelming!
