Long Hollow Garden Wedding: Our Favorite FOB First Look
We started planning with Jenna and Jon in the summer of 2016 by scouting venues. When Jenna found herself at Long Hollow, it was an instant connection. We got to work on her design and vendor team. After months of planning, we love the neutral palette, yet non-traditional wedding we hosted at Long Hollow's stunning greenhouse.
The rain wouldn't let up on wedding day, so we had to make the call to host the wedding inside in the greenhouse. Even our plan B was stunning! The flowers included moments of magnolia tree leaves from Jenna's bouquet to the garland on the bar - all a nod to Jenna's roots.
Jenna and Jon decided to not have a first look, but instead Jenna planned for a first look with her dad. And, frankly, it's about the sweetest moment we've ever witnessed. Like, grab a tissue and ugly cry. We think making time to see dad privately before the wedding is really smart and makes for amazing memories.
By the time the ceremony ended, the rain had stopped! Guests were able to enjoy grabbing dinner from the windows of three local food trucks! This is probably one of our favorite elements of the wedding, besides that first look with dad. The bistro lights make it feel like a food truck park!
All those stationery details really make this wedding personal! We loved collaborating with our local calligrapher to make day-of stationery like menus, place cards, and signs to help roundout our design.
