Boho Birthday: The Last Supper of Our 20's
We turned 30 this year! And, we celebrated by hosting a boho-inspired dinner party at Ravenswood Mansion! We invited about 25 people to enjoy an al fresco pot luck dinner with the potential for a ghost hunt afterparty - no ghosts found!
All the details were a labor of love! We had our dear friend, Anna, of Olive Juice Press create some unique canvas invitations with some super rad envelope liners. Not to mention, Anna hand-lettered every plate as a keepsake for guests. We made the tables from plywood and hairpin legs we purchased. Those gorgeous collected brass candle holders are from our collection. We knew the taper candles would drip, so we didn't want to use a farm table. Katie, our associate planner, ended up repurposing the table in her kitchen! And, during planning, we learned how to sew from our friend Alyssa, of Alice & Mae Bridal Accessories! We made floor pillows from paint drop cloths from Home Depot.
We even hung our own bistro lights with some major help from Alyssa's husband, Matt! That was the beginning of our working relationship with him and we've been roping him into all sorts of crafty projects since the party.
We rented the gold flatware from Liberty Party Rental and Feather & Oak donated the vintage vessels and the gorgeous rugs! And, the fun, colorful flowers were created and donated by Basil & Bergamot. Our friend, Sue White, drove in to shoot all the details and toasts! We're so grateful for all the friendors that helped make our birthday dinner so amazing!
