Belle Meade Plantation: A Sunday Wedding
On a cold, rainy April Sunday, we hosted 160 of Jenn and Chad’s friends and family at Belle Meade Plantation! On the morning of the wedding, we decided to move to our rain plan and host the ceremony under the tent behind the stables. Jenn was a champ even though she dreamed of a wedding in the garden under the trees. The value of hiring a planner in tough situations like this is you don't have to make those hard decisions alone. We weighed the options, reviewed the weather together and concluded what was best for the guest experience.
Jenn’s dad made the altar pergola! With some blooms and added draping, it was the perfect backdrop to their tented ceremony.
Not sure the rain or cold affected our technology, but our lapel mic failed mid-ceremony! The officiant improvised and it helped lighten up guests!
Jenn loved a neutral color palette of ivory and blush. We kept rentals simple to keep the focus on the flowers! We hosted dinner and quickly moved to dancing in the heated carriage house! Guests danced all night and only stopped to eat some cake and refill at the bar!
